■ profile : minamoの安永哲郎、Asuna、The Medium Necksの飛田左起代、ポートランド出身のバンドHochenkeitのJason FunkとJeff Fuccilloによる日米混合バンドHELLL。Jackie-O MotherfuckerのメンバーたちやTara Jane O'Neilらとのアメリカ・ツアーも成功におさめ、徐々に頭角を表してきたフリーフォームなアヴァン・フォーク＋ドローンユニット。結成初期（05年〜 08年頃）のライヴや大量のスタジオレコーディング素材をもとにした彼らの初音源が、Jackie-O MotherfuckerのTom Greenwoodが主宰するレーベルよりリリースされたばかり。さらにAsunaが運営するaotoaoレーベルから発売された"casiotone compilation 2"にも参加している。時間と共にゆるやかに変化し絡まり合う即興演奏でありながら、あくまでもバンド形態にこだわることで、音の渦の中から生まれる「歌の気配」を感じさせる。

■ profile : 日用品を使った闇鍋的玩具アブストラクト音響界最後の死角的刺客、OPQ。数多くの玩具楽器やそれらをベンディングした自作楽器群と郷愁的なメロディーを抽象的に奏でるギター等によって映画的音楽を現前させるスザキタカフミに加え、気鋭の画家アリタンボウも所属。一方、鳥取を代表するインディー・レーベルtori labelの看板ユニットであるボルゾイのサウンドメーカーであり、同レーベルよりソロ名義でもドリーミーでキュートなローファイ・エレクトロアルバムを発表しているシバタ。この両者によって結成された新グループが、デラックス・オー・ピー・キュー！

■ review : 玩具電子音響界の極北OPQとトリレーベルのシバタの両者が合体し「DX-OPQ」として謎すぎるバンド編成で素晴らしい演奏をライブでも披露してくれていたが、ついに初の音源となるカセット・テープ(!!!)がwaiting for the tapesからリリースされた。音源ではOPQスザキの偏執狂的宅録奇才振りが爆発し、アブストラクトで楽曲のメロディーに軸を作らないということに意識的（という軸）だからこそ成し得る強い世界観を示してくれた。90年代後半。シカゴからケルン。を経由して2010年。サイタマのベンディング・アパートメントに不時着。 (ASUNA - nami to kami column より転載)

■ profile : 加藤りま。かつてミディ・クリエイティブから高校生ネオアコ・ユニットとしてデビューし話題となったストロオズとして活動しており、その後のブランクを経て近年ソロでの音楽活動を再開。ローファイ・ポップを通過しフリー・フォークを経たような哀愁を帯びながらも透明感のある歌声は、ぽつぽつと進むようなシンプルなアレンジの楽曲によって際立って響く。実兄のフォークトロニカ・ユニットFamily Basicにも参加。
